John Evans brings his distinctly Texas mix of sharp songwriting, commanding guitar work, and punk-charged roots music to The Table at Madeley. The Pasadena-bred singer-songwriter and producer moves easily between honky-tonk storytelling, rockabilly drive, and full-throttle rock ’n’ roll without sanding away the wit or grit.

Evans earned Houston Press Music Awards recognition across eight consecutive years, with honors spanning male vocalist, songwriter, musician of the year, and roots rock. He also co-wrote Hayes Carll’s “KMAG YOYO,” performed the song with Carll on The Tonight Show, and placed music in film and television, including Country Strong.
