Perfect Stranger

Perfect Stranger comes to The Table at Madeley with the polished ’90s country sound that carried “You Have the Right to Remain Silent” to No. 4 on Billboard’s country chart and made the song the band’s signature recording.

Formed in Carthage, Texas, in 1986, the band built its following in clubs and rodeos before releasing It’s Up to You independently in 1994; Curb Records later reissued the project, and Perfect Stranger earned a 1996 Academy of Country Music nomination for Top New Vocal Duo or Group. Steve Murray and Shayne Morrison reunited Perfect Stranger in 2025 to mark the song’s 30th anniversary and bring the band’s catalog back to the stage.
