The Jazz Connection

The Jazz Connection comes to The Table at Madeley with a stage full of young musicians and a mission rooted in free music education across Montgomery County and the North Houston area. This volunteer-run nonprofit gives junior high and high school students a place to build ensemble skills, explore improvisation, and perform for their community.

Founded by longtime Conroe-area educator Bob Price, The Jazz Connection grew from a need for more working jazz ensembles in local schools. Its repertoire reaches from the swing era through contemporary stage-band arrangements, giving students the chance to dig into jazz, rock, R&B, and the music of bandleaders such as Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, Gordon Goodwin, and Woody Herman.

Spend Sunday afternoon close to the stage as these students share the sound, teamwork, and creativity they have built together. Admission is free, so bring your family, grab something from the bar, and support the next generation of local musicians at The Table.
