Co-Headliner: Dustin Perkins
Dustin Perkins brings a storyteller’s approach to country and Americana, blending Texas-country instincts with touches of folk, blues, and Southern soul. His connection to music began around family, including early memories of sitting beside his grandfather as he played guitar and sang—a foundation that still fits the plainspoken, lived-in character of his songs.
His independent catalog includes I Wrote You a Song, The Next Step, WORDS, and the 2024 album Long Time Coming. After spending roughly a decade in southeastern Oklahoma away from the broader music business, Perkins returned to recording and performing with renewed focus, continuing into 2026 with releases including “Stoned Hippie” and “Mercy (Live from Calhouns 2.0).”
Perkins’ road-tested writing and regional character make him a natural fit for a song swap, where the stories behind the music can carry as much weight as the songs themselves.
Co-Headliner: Don Stalling
Don Stalling writes with close attention to melody, structure, language, and story, creating songs that leave room for listeners to find their own meaning. Raised in North Texas, shaped by meaningful time in South Texas, and now based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, he draws from influences ranging from Turnpike Troubadours, Pony Bradshaw, and Dwight Yoakam to the emotional directness of Brand New.
His song “Nashville” surpassed 100,000 streams, while releases including “Empty Glass,” “Green & Gold,” “Bad Dream,” and “Let Me Down Easy (Acoustic)” show a songwriter steadily refining his direction. Stalling brings a thoughtful and open-ended perspective that complements the lived-in storytelling at the heart of Perkins’ catalog.
Rather than a traditional opener-and-headliner format, Dustin Perkins and Don Stalling will share the spotlight for a co-headlining song swap experience. Expect the two songwriters to trade songs, stories, and perspectives throughout the evening, creating the kind of relaxed, close-up performance where each artist’s music adds another chapter to the conversation.
Come early, grab something from the bar, and settle in near the stage for a songwriter-forward night at The Table. This is a chance to hear two distinct Texas voices share one intimate setting, with the songs and the stories behind them taking center stage.
